Fees

Pre-school fees are £5.50 per session. From the term after their 3rd birthday children are eligible for Government funding for up to 15 hours per week.  

About Us

The Community Pre-school has provided care and education for children in the local community for over 20 years. Our mission statement is to work on the basis that praise is better than criticism, promoting a safe, happy and stimulating environment in which children have the opportunity to learn. We encourage the individuality of each child, not only culturally, but also respecting their needs to be adventurous and challenged, quiet and in their own space.

Curriculum

We follow a wide and varied curriculum, working towards the Early Years foundation stage.

We cover the six areas of learning:

Personal, social and emotional development

Communication, language and literacy

Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy

Physical

Creative

Knowledge and understanding of the world.

We operate a Key person system which ensures that each child has a “special” member of staff who can follow his/her development by observation and liaison with parents.
